this is an activity that i originally did for the first-year students for the grammar "is he/she ~?" later on, i used it as a time filler for the second and third-year students.
*rules for the first-year classes*
break them into their lunch groups and have them use a whiteboard to write the answer using "is he/she ~?"
have them listen to the recording. it'll play twice (there's a slide for the first and second time).
i usually give them double points for guessing the correct character and just one point for correct grammar, but you can use whatever point system you feel comfortable with.
*rules for the second and third-year classes*
if you're already using the whiteboards, you can do it the same way as the first-year classes. but if you're using it as time filler, then you can just explain that the recording will play twice and have them shout the answer.
